June 4, 2026 Dear Mayor and Members of the Coachella City Council, I am writing as a resident of Coachella to share my strong support for the Coachella Municipal Utility and the proposed Coachella Valley Technology Campus. These projects are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our city, delivering more than 830 units of affordable housing, new local jobs, essential infrastructure for East Coachella, land for a future fire station, and substantial new revenue for the City. All of it is fully privately financed, at no cost to taxpayers and with no new taxes or fees on residents. After 20 years, the City will own the utility infrastructure outright. I appreciate that the City Council unanimously approved these projects after a transparent, two-year competitive process. I urge you to stay the course through the environmental review and to approve these projects so Coachella can realize their full benefits. Opportunities like this do not come along often.
